Anke Sentko

Vice President Regulatory Affairs & Nutrition Communication, Beneo

Anke Sentko is Vice President Regulatory Affairs & Nutrition Communication for BENEO, including the BENEO Institute. In parallel she has her own independent consultancy, SentkoConsult GmbH.

Anke graduated from the University of Bonn, Germany in 1982 with a diploma in Nutrition and Economy. After some time as an employee with SÜDZUCKER in Research & Development and food legislation she became Regulatory Affairs Manager for Palatinit GmbH, Germany. In 2007 she joined the BENEO Group.

She is actively involved in Codex Alimentarius work, a member of the German Food Law Association (BLL), and of the German Nutrition Society (DGE). In addition she is an associate member of the Southeast Asia Public Health Nutrition Network (SEA-PHN), and a member of the board of the Calorie Control Council, USA.

But despite this, obesity and diabetes in Asia Pacific region continues to soar.
