Daisuke Fujiwara

Deputy Director, Business Development Department, Kirin Company

As an author of over 45 publications, Daisuke’s main research interests are in mucosal immunology and food immunology. He attended the University of Tokyo and achieved a Ph.D. from the Graduate School of Agriculture and Life Sciences. Previous to his current position he was a visiting lecturer within this same school. He started out in the central laboratories for Kirin Brewery before moving to be a visiting researcher in RIKEN research centre for allergy and immunology. In 2005-2007, he completed his post-doc at the David Geffen School of Medicine, UCLA before moving to be a senior research scientist in the central laboratories for frontier technology within Kirin Holdings.
