Joanne Todd

Challenge Director of the High-Value Nutrition National Science Challenge, University of Auckland

Joanne has been in this role since August 2016. She previously worked in various senior nutrition and innovation management roles at Fonterra Co-operative Ltd, combining business development, science, regulatory and marketing activities with a focus on export markets, particularly Asia. She has built up consumer insight based clinical research and product development programmes that have delivered successful commercial outcomes. She is now leading the High-Value Nutrition Challenge, which is a government funded 10 year national programme tasked with developing the science, research excellence and knowledge NZ companies need to develop high value foods, with a focus on exports to Asia.
